Cabinets of Distinction

Finish

Finish can be one of the most important aspects of your cabinet project. Getting the color right can be the most difficult. Because of this we work tirelessly to get our finish samples to match our customers expectations.

Our finish process consists of the initial stain, if desired, then the clear seal coat, and finally the durable top coat. We use Post - Cat Clear Conversion Varnish for our topcoat which represents the latest in durable, long lasting wood finish technology. It is a high solids, water white amino alkyd finishing system that leaves a unique smooth to the touch finish. Our topcoat exceeds AWI specifications for post catalyzed conversion varnish chemical resistance, and has been tested for it's ability to withstand substances typically found in kitchens and bathrooms. Some of the items that were tested and received an excellent rating for are as follows: viniger, lemon juice, orange juice, grape juice, ketchup, coffee, olive oil, boiling water, cold water, nail polish remover, household ammonia, windex, 409, lysol, gasoline, murphy's oil soap, 100 proof vodka, mustard, and some other harsh chemicals not normally found in your usual household.
